The KTMA episodes originally aired on Minneapolis UHF station KTMA-TV, channel 23. Shows were basically ad-libbed and production values were much lower than in the years to follow. These would not be the best selections for the casual fan. Also please be aware that these episodes are rare and are graded more leniently. After years of trading, I am confidant that no better collection can be found. The majority of my masters are only once removed from the original source tapes.

After a decade of trading, and thanks to fairly recent trades with Dave and Sarah, all of my Season One episodes except 101 are now "from broadcast" VHS recordings. Thanks to Chad for his great video and audio editing expertise.

Every episode Season Two through Ten are now from pristine "from broadcast" SP VHS, digital DVR recordings, screeners, or Best Brains D-2 broadcast masters.

801 master now contains an additional 15 seconds of riffing that was removed after the initial broadcast. That's right, 15 whole seconds of controversial riffage! Thanks again to Chad. Starts shortly after the 58 minute mark when Bill says "Ah, forget it." Brains must have edited out of future showings. We are such nerds!

Episode Quality Grading Guide
Based on video and audio quality. Not content.

A to A- = Good edits. Excellent picture and sound.
B+ to B- = Good to Very Good. Good edits, good picture and good sound.

Obviously, ratings are subjective. One trader's "B+" could be another trader's "A+." I have seen well over 1,000 tapes/disks from every major source and many not so major. My ratings are based on my experiences.
